OVERVIEW When everyone in the team is aligned, all team members are clear about what they are doing and why they are doing it and are committed to fulfilling their responsibilities to achieve the team’s goals. As for the results, you can just imagine! This level of alignment can only be achieved when there is a high level of trust in the team, because only when there is trust will team members have the robust conversations they must have to achieve a high level of alignment. The assessment will accurately pinpoint exactly which level of alignment currently exists in the team. Is the team in the bottom quartile (25% of all teams), the second, third or top quartile? Our research has also identified the specific trust-building behaviours needed to increase alignment and move a team to higher levels of performance. MEASURES Clarity and approval – the degree to which team members are clear on and personally approve of the purpose, values, vision, goals, priorities and roles. The barriers to building trust in the team, and what needs to be done to remove them. COLLECTS Anonymous verbatim comments from team members which provides valuable feedback about the impact the current level of alignment and trust is having on the teams culture. IDENTIFIES What is currently preventing the team from achieving higher levels of alignment. The additional development notes provided help to identify specific areas the team must work on to achieve higher levels of alignment. SOLUTION DESIGN 1. CONTACT 363- to implement the Team Alignment Survey (TAS) in your organisation 2. FOUNDATION- establish the business initiatives; strategic objectives, team dynamics, timelines 3. ASSESSMENT- collecting stakeholder feedback via the TAS to assess the level of trust and alignment 4. ANALYSE- Results will be analysed & debriefed with the leadership team and department managers 5. ACT- create a solid contact with the team, including agreed measures. Implement action plans to increase trust with team alignment 6. FOLLOW-UP- Coaching frequency and usually over 6-9-month period 7. GROWTH- Sustainability, repeat the diagnostic assessment in 9-12 month to measure the improvements.
